Apa Itu Tutup Bak Kontrol? Di pusat kota, terutama kota besar layaknya Jabodetabek tentu sulit ditemui daerah resapan air karena semua ditutupi proyek pembangunan. Permasalahan timbul saat hujan turun, karena akan banyak terjadi genangan air yang mengganggu masyarakat. Oleh sebab itu, perlu dibuat saluran dreinase buatan sebagai saluran pembuangan genangan air. Agar saluran ini tidak mengganggu, maka perlu ditutup saat tidak digunakan atau saat hujan tidak turun.

Nah, penutup dari saluran dreinase tersebut yang disebut dengan tutup bak kontrol. Bentuknya serta fungsinya hampir sama dengan grill besi tangkapan air, namun terdapat perbedaan mendasar yang membedakan keduanya. Perbedaan tersebut adalah grill besi tangkapan air juga berfungsi sebagai penyaring, sementara tutup bak ini tidak.

Jenis Tutup Bak Kontrol

Walaupun mempunyai fungsi sebagai saluran pembuangan genangan air, tetapi tutup bak kontrol ini mempunyai beberapa jenis. Pengelompokan ini berdasarkan beberapa hal, seperti bahan untuk membuat, ukuran dan juga bentuk. Berukut penjelasan lebih lengkapnya.

  • Berdasarkan bahan untuk membuatnya, ada beberapa jenis yaitu tutup bak kontrol stainless, tutup bak kontrol besi, tutup bak kontrol plastik.
  • Berdasarkan ukurannya tutup bak ini diantaranya adalah tutup bak berukuran 30, 40, 60, 70 dan juga ukuran 80 sera ukuran 90.
  • Berdasarkan bentuknya, tutup bak ini dibagi menjadi dua macam, yaitu tutup bak dengan bentuk lingkaran dan tutup bak dengan bentuk kontak.

Fungsi Tutup Bak Kontrol

Kehadiran tutup bak sebagai saluran drainase sangatlah penting, terutama di daerah yang minim daerah resapan air, seperti pusat kota. Karena fungsi pentingnya itulah, benda ini selalu ada diberbagai sisi dari kota. Tutup bak ini juga mempunyai fungsi lainnya, seperti berikut ini.

•    Sebagai Penutup Saluran Drainase

Ya, ini merupakan fungsi utama dari hadirnya tutup bak di jalanan, yaitu sebagai penutup saluran pembuangan air.  Genangan air yang biasanya terjadi karena tidak ada resapan air, akan dialirkan lewat lubang dreinase yang mengarah langsung ke got. Ketika lubang ini tidak digunakan, maka tutup bak ini akan digunakan untuk menutupnya.

•    Sebagai Keamanan Bagi Pengguna Jalan

Lubang drainase ini biasanya ditempatkan di jalanan yang ramai dilewati banyak orang, baik itu penjalan kaki maupun pengendara. Bayangkan saja, jika tidak ada penutup bagi lubang drainase itu, maka akan sering terjadi kecelakaan. Pengendara akan terperosok ke dalam lubang tersebut, begitu juga dengan pejalan kaki. Oleh sebab itu, demi keselematan para pengguna jalan, maka penutup bak ini digunakan untuk menutup lubang drainase tersebut.

•    Untuk Melindungi Dari Bau Tak Sedap

Lubang drainase tersebut berada tepat di atas got yang biasanya terdapat di bawah jalan maupun trotoar. Dan biasanya terdapat di tempat yang ramai dilalui atau menjadi tempat yang banyak dikunjungi oleh masyarakat. Ketika tidak ditutup, maka aroma tak sedap dari got tersebut akan tersebar ke berbagai penjuru disekitarnya.

•    Sebagai Pintu Bagi Pekerja

Ketika got tersebut bermasalah seperti tersumbat, maka perlu diadakan perbaikan. Oleh sebab itu, membuat tutup bak kontol menjadi berguna untuk pintu bagi pekerja yang akan melakukan perbaikan. Dengan demikian akan memudahkan pekerja yang bertugas untuk membersihkan got tersebut.
